I love both, though I have & wear a lot more half slips than full slips. Most are vintage and unfortunately most (but thankfully not all) of the full slips do not fit my bust, thats probably due to improved diet & the pill!

On colours I have most, love ivory & turquoise, but would love to get a light green!

My favourite colour is white, followed by pink. Much prefer half slip for the obvious reason it can slip down or when worn under a dress it stays put while the dress rides up if the wearer stretches up - revealing all!

I enjoy both. I like the full slip straps and bodice, but halves come in a larger variety of lengths, colours and styles...plus the lace used to be better on a half usually. Although that being said almost all of my slips are vintage or 1980s eras..the modern ones are a bit too plain for my tastes....

hi Slipin, I much prefer it when my wife wears a waist slip as 1) they have a wonderful tendency to move independently of her dress so the opportunities for seeing a hint (or more) of lace when she moves are much greater and 2) her waist slips usually have a couple of inches of lace decorating the hem which adds markedly to the enjoyment when it becomes visible … her full slips, by comparison, don’t have a lace hem and indeed I’ve yet to find a high street shop where I can buy a full length slip with lace hem (can anyone help ??) .... and finally, I prefer her white slips (worn with tan coloured tights) which tend to be wonderfully visible even at a distance whereas her black slips, which are usually worn with her dark dresses and teamed with dark tights, are far harder to see.

You are highly observant Paul. I have to be so much mure careful wearing a half slip than a full slip for that very reason. With skirts with kick slits (& I just love pencil skirts) I have to match my half slip also with a slit to the skirt and a mirror & a couple of safety pins normaly does the trick!.

As for full slips with loads of gorgeous lace at the him, yes modern ones are very difficult to find but David Nieper does sell them but they are very popular & a bit pricey, but they do an individual size service at no extra cost which is great for us ladies with slightly larger than average assets! Hi there

For me, it would be the half slip, or underskirt as I would like to call it.

My wife mainly wears half slips, and has quite a few, and also like to show them slightly peeking from beneath the hem of her skirt. It's a real turn on for me, and for others who notice.

For me, I prefer half slips, and my favourite colour is white.

I think it's probably because I have only ever seen women wearing half-slips (I am pretty sure all the slips I spotted were half, not full). The slips that turn me on are the ones I've seen real women wearing.
Also as others have said, a half can slip down, might need adjusting... it's more likely to show.

The slips I've seen were mainly white, but also cream/ivory and black. However white is my favourite, because I've seen that most often- and white is always more visible.

Full or half slip? We like full silky slips in white colors..

Post by Foggyman on Tue Aug 20, 2013 2:44 pm

Hello sliplovers,
we are new in this community and I want to tell you about me and my wife Elisabeth. She likes full white silky slips and she wears it very often on the weekends when we go out to have dinner. If she sit down or get up from the chairs then sometimes her wonderful slips are showing for a short time. Sometimes, some other mens are looking to her skirt and it makes me very proud. In this times, not many women wear slips too, but I saw that very often during my business trips to England and Japan. My wife wear slips since she was a young girl and till today..I am very very glad if she do it for me. We are a couple from Germany and her age is 55 years. I am 60 years old. It would be nice if we can discuss about our hobby....Kind regards Foggyman

It's Half Slips for me every time.

White, with a generous lace trim, I think is the sexiest (not black, although a siting of a black slip or any colour come to that is most welcome!).

But what I like about half slips is their ability to remain in place whilst reaching up when wearing a dress. My wife does exactly this and when she does, WOW!

Another thing that I prefer with half slips is the ability (for my wife that is, not me) to wear them lower on the hips, or on the waist, or pull up a little higher to determine how much slip is actually visible below her dress hem. She does like to show about 3 or 4 inches intentionally, rather than a fraction of an inch which, she says, "looks like an afterthought or an accidental slip show that's not meant."

I suppose one disadvantage with half slips is that they can fall down unintentionally. Quoting my wife again, "I've had countless slips fall down over the years, but most times have been able to cope without losing it completely.

I'll give one recent case of where a half slip excels, from last weekend actually. My wife was wearing a colouful flowery summer dress, a white half slip with 4 inches of lace all of which was showing with about 6 inches showing at the back. Whenever she reached up an extra 5 inches were revealed.

So that sums it up for us, "Half Slips" every time.

Hi everyone,
My personal preference,as a female wearer is definately 'full slips' reason being that the slip fabric covers more of your body and feels so nice as it cups your bust, especially worn with no bra! most full slips with all lace bust tend to have a fine nylon/chiffon lining so that the lace does not scratch.I much prefer adjustable ribbon shoulder straps too as you can adjust the fit around your bust and also the length of the slip to fit a particular length of skirt or dress, although saying that,i do like to have a little lace showing beneath my hem or through a split in my skirt! I also find that full slips are great for lounging around in as it is all in one, making it extremely comfortable, infact i must admit to sleeping in a full slip almost every night, just love the feel.
Although i prefer full slips,i do also like to wear a half slip with a bra or matching cami top or you can wear contrasting colours like a red half slip with a black bra etc and it can be great fun to do that and results can sometimes be very sexy!

Welcome to Foggyman and Elisabeth. Your avatar looks very familiar. I seem to recall you posted some really nice images on 'Slipology' (sadly no more) a long time ago. Will you be posting again?
Good to see Sylvia here!

As for full or half slips... I'll take what I can get!

I favour half slips as they are more likely to be seen under any skirt or dress.

I love both but prefer full slips, especially vintage. The nylon and lace on vintage slips is superb. The hem detail usually is fantastic but, they score over half slips in the bust area. Exquisite detail in the cups is fantastic. I also love the satin ribbon straps. A lady dressed in just a full slip and hose is a magnificent sight. White and ivory are my favourite colours although my collection includes black, blue , green, yellow, brown, lilac, purple and red as well.
As far as slip sightings and showing are concerned I run with 50s and 60s protocol. I prefer sightings to be accidental and when properly dressed no slip should show, although with the slip almost gone from everyday use (not in my case) arranged sightings are necessary lest people forget. I am the only one of my family of four, born in the 50s, that has any slips, my sisters hardly remember them.
