Lovely petticoats, but the last time I wore something like that I was a hazard to anything on a table or shelf. My mother always warned me not to stand close to the open fire! xxx

Absolutely!  I have two flouncy petticoats that I used to wear with 50's dresses at the vintage fairs when I used to have stands at them.  Another thing about them is that in order that they keep their proper shape you should avoid storing them in drawers or boxes etc.  They should be hung up on a rail in a wardrobe.  So, my grouse is that I have two frilly flouncy petticoats that I never wear taking up about three or four feet of badly needed rail space in my wardrobe!

I'm lucky I have a lot of space as I have two spare bedrooms, I only have one flouncy petticoat now as I've stopped dancing professionally. Well, actually I have it on a tailors dummy. I just love 50's fashion.
