Love in a Cold Climate

British TV serial from 1980. In Episode 2, 'Coming Out', set in 1930, 3 of the cast are trying on their dresses for a ball. Unfortunately all are in their dresses by the time the viewer arrives but both Lucy Gutteridge and Isabelle Amyes did get to take their dresses off and spend all too brief a time standing in their white fullslips.

There is a 2nd scene with both girls in their white fullslips. It comes toward the end of the episode, they are both lying on their bellies, the camera is in front of them with their faces in focus so not all of the slip can be seen but they did stand up just before cutting to the next scene.

That's teasing us vaguely remember the show.
